Gallery Hotel - The Avant Garde Hotel

Gallery Hotel always captivates our attention with its avant garde building design. There are hoardes of hotels in Singapore, what makes Gallery Hotel so unique. Hugo Wolf and Jolly Rosa finds out!

At first glance inside the room of Gallery Hotel, it follows the colorful theme of the hotel as with the exterior design.

The hotel room although not big, but spacious enough.

The LCD tv in the hotel room is a small 32 inch.

The bathroom's design is sleek and follows the avant garde Gallery Hotel style.

They managed to squeeze a bathtub in the pretty restricted space in the bathroom. Forgot to mention, this is the Gallery Hotel glazzhaus room. Hence the bathtub.

The glazzhaus room with bathtub is slightly expensive compared to the normal deluxe room rates that is below $200.

For the glazzhaus room offer, all the drinks in the mini bar are complimentary of Gallery Hotel.

Right out of our hotel room window, the Gallery hotel swimming pool awaits!

The Gallery hotel swimming pool is kind of 'detached' from the hotel rooms, you have to walk down and across to get to the pool.

There is something unique about the swimming pool at Gallery Hotel..

View of the Gallery hotel swimming pool from downstairs. Look at that protruding mass of water in the transparent glass.

Let's explore other parts of the swimming pool.

The swimming pool counter, though its always empty. Self service!

You get the nice view of the whole Gallery Hotel building from the pool..

or Miramar Hotel on the opposite..

Studio M Hotel beside Gallery Hotel.

Gallery Hotel is not crowded most of the time. Not a lot of hotel guest, like this evening, we were the only ones left at the swimming pool after a while.

Hugo & Rosa having a nice time enjoying the privacy.

After a day of fun at the pool, the tired sheep and wolf knocked themselves out on the bed.

We had a great stay at Gallery Hotel. Located at Robertson Quay, there are a great deal of restaurants, bar and happening places around.

The rooms are comfy, the location is good, there's a nice pool, great privacy and all of these comes in an affordable price package.

Images of Singapore

Mini Frederic Fox takes you to a walk on a Sunday evening to show you some images of Singapore.

This is the old supreme court building of Singapore, now on the way being refurbished into a cultural arts center.

Mini Frederic at the Padang with image of Swissôtel The Stamford behind.

Looks like a soccer match is on at the Padang (field).

There are so many open fields in Singapore but only this green patch is called the Padang.

Frederic is now at a war memorial cenotaph at Singapore's Esplanade park.

The cenotaph was built in memory of the soldiers who died in World War I

The cenotaph war memorial was later dedicated to the Singapore residents who perished in the World War II.

Frederic Fox is passing by the Esplanade park on the way to...

Singapore's Esplanade

Frederic Fox heard some music coming from the Esplanade outdoor stage ♪♫♪♫

Frederic grabs a seat and enjoys the performance. See you next time round on the Images of Singapore.

Singapore Philatelic Museum

Jolly Wolf is going to visit the Singapore Philatelic Museum today. What is the Singapore Philatelic Museum you might wonder?

Singapore Philatelic Museum is a museum of stamps and philatelic material collections of Singapore from the 1830s to present day. It is the postal history of Singapore and its stamps.

Okay Jolly Wolf is going into the Singapore Philatelic Museum to have a look but not one second after this picture was taken, Jolly Wolf fell down. You could see he is almost falling from the picture.

Once inside the Singapore Philatelic Museum, you will be encircled in a house of stamp.

There are literally thousands of stamps everywhere in the Singapore Philatelic Museum and then Jolly Wolf found something interesting..

Jolly Wolf found Mickey Mouse stamp! Oh we should mentioned, the Singapore Philatelic Museum is also a stamp shop.

Hence, the Singapore Philatelic Museum is also a great place for stamp collectors to buy unique stamps. Jolly Wolf, what are you looking for?

Armenian Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator

The Armenian Church, full name Armenian Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator is the oldest church in Singapore located at Hill Street. Built in 1835 as the number masks on the building.

The Armenian Church welcomes all visitors! Good thing they did not say no pets allowed ^_^

Jolly Wolf ponders upon some interesting statues in the Armenian Church.

Jolly Wolf goes in to have a closer look.

Jolly Wolf loves the stoney road in the Armenian Church.

Jolly Wolf finds that the Armenian Church design is pretty familiar.

An old Armenian house in the compounds of the Armenian Church.

A grave in the backyard of the Armenian Church to remember the fallen Armenians.

A tree with purple flowers and 2 benches for you to chill.

Jolly Wolf will bring you inside to have a look shall we?

This is a sign from the preservation of monument board saying that the Armenian Church is built by G D Coleman, it is the oldest church in Singapore and it originally had a domed roof and a bell-turret in the ancient Armenian Church tradition. In 1853 both features were replaced with a pitched roof and spire for structural reasons.

On the inside, the Armenian Church is not big with a simplistic altar.

This photo must be taken recently judging by the age of Mr Lee Kuan Yew in this picture.

Did you know that Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as their religion?

That is why the Armenian Church is so significant. Jolly Wolf sits down and pray..
