Arnolds Fried Chicken or Arnolds Chicken is simply one of the hottest eatery right now in Singapore. NICI-Mania brings our Pirates there to find out whats the fried chicken hype about. Lets go!

NICI Pirates arrived at Arnolds Fried Chicken and the crowd is overwhelming!

Looks like there is a queue system at Arnolds Fried Chicken

There is a menu in front of Arnolds Fried Chicken because you have to order your fried chicken while registering for your queue number.

Once you placed your order with the waitress at the front desk, you will get a queue number and you can wait anywhere in front of Arnolds Fried Chicken.

We are not sure whether this is how Arnolds Fried Chicken normally looks like. We came here because it appeared on tv, so I guess it could be one of the reason why its so crowed.

Our queue number is 13. NICI Pirates waiting impatiently ...

NICI Pirates decided to sit down and wait. Its like waiting for a doctor in a clinic..

Finally the number turns 13!!

Once you're inside Arnolds Fried Chicken, you have to pay at the counter first.

Then the 3 NICI Pirates sat and waited for Arnolds fried chicken to come!

After about 10 minutes, the much awaited Arnolds fried chicken has arrived on our table!

And of course, Arnolds Fried Chicken should go with a cup of ice coke.

We want to introduce a special item on the menu of Arnolds Fried Chicken. The potato chips platter!

Our pirates are very eager to try out all the different types of fried potato chips in the platter. We love this one!

4 pieces of Arnolds fried chicken (thigh and wings, you can specify during order), potato chips platter and 2 ice coke. Not forgetting the lovely cheese dip!

The owner of Arnolds Fried Chicken mentioned on tv that they use fresh chicken bought from the market daily instead of frozen chickens. The juice is simply overflowing from the arnolds chicken. You have to try it to believe it.

Dipping the Arnolds Fried Chicken in cheese is also a great way to eat! *two thumbs up*

NICI Hetch Hogan

NICI Hetch Hogan is the latest addition to NICI-Mania family! As mentioned in our previous (NICI Shopping at CNS Plaza Singapura) entry, we'll show you more of Hetch Hogan today!

 NICI Hetch Hogan is a hedgehog soft toy that can be curled up in a ball like the real animal.

NICI Hetch Hogan belongs to NICI Forest Friends series, so our two forest friend senior Rob Raccoon and Frederic Fox came first to have a look at their good buddy.

The curious and playful Rob Raccoon was intrigued by what he saw on the card and you don't have to guess what happened next....

Frederic Fox exclaimed: Hey Rob, what are you doing to our new friend Hetch Hogan?!

Rob Raccoon: I'm trying to turn him into a ball! Hehehe (^_^)

Frederic Fox: You sure you are not hurting Hetch Hogan?

After several attempts, Rob Raccoon is perplexed why NICI Hetch Hogan isn't turning into a ball. He didn't notice that NICI Hetch Hogan has a velcro at the bottom..

Frederic Fox: Hey Rob, maybe you have to stick NICI Hetch Hogan's velcro to his ears?

Rob Raccoon: I don't care anymore! I'll just squash him into a ball xD

Surprise from NICI Malaysia

NICI-Mania got a surprise mail from NICI Malaysia at our postbox this week!

Win Malaysia is the official dealer for NICI plush in Malaysia and the owner of NICI shop in 1Utama. 

Hugo Wolf and Jolly Rosa are very excited to see whats inside the mail!

It's a RM50 NICI voucher!!!! Our entire NICI flock are so thrilled! We can redeem our voucher at the NICI  shop at 1Utama. It is so generous of Win Malaysia to give us RM50, which means we can get a 25cm plush for free! (^_^)

Unfortunately, a small accident happened to our human (me, popping my antibiotics and painkillers as I type). The whole toe nail had to be removed by the doctor as the toe was crushed by a heavy object and it was all inflamed under the nail. This might take a while to recover, so we can't visit the NICI Malaysia shop this month *sobs*

NICI Shopping at CNS Plaza Singapura

Recently we went NICI shopping at CNS Plaza Singapura and came home with another nice NICI Shopping Bag! Yippy (^_^) You can find CNS Plaza Singapura's blog here or facebook here. They are the best place to buy NICI in Singapore!

We bought another limited edition NICI red apple cushion and some cute NICI plushies! Jolly Rosa is stealing all the limelight in this picture though.

NICI Hetch Hogan finally joined our family! He is a tiny miniature one but he is definitely good looking! We will blog about this NICI Hetch Hogan in the next entry!

The only reason why we have more than one lying jolly mah is, together they make a good cushion for Jolly Rosa! Hahaha

How to wash plush, soft toy, stuffed animals

How to wash NICI plush? How to wash soft toys? How to wash stuffed animals? Washing machine or hand wash? I'm sure we're not the only ones having these questions popping up our mind. Today we're gonna show you how to wash your beloved NICI plush, soft toys or stuffed animals.

Frederic is our nici fox plush today under the mercy of the water tap after having a sublime trip in Zhangjiajie & Guilin, China. Frederic got himself really dirty climbing the gorgeous Avatar movie mountains, so we decided to wash our beloved stuffed animal toy. First we put the fox plush in a small blue pail and here comes the water which is pretty warm in a hot sunny day in Malaysia! The method of washing our stuffed animal is hand wash + washing machine (the drying part).

NICI fox plush has drowned! *HELP* Don't worry, Frederic is just playing :-) Okay next, we mix the washing detergent into the water thoroughly. It is not recommended to add the washing detergent on your plush soft toys directly. You can also use soap for delicate clothes if you have them.

Hot springs in grassland! Our nici plush soft toy is totally indulging in his own paradise *read: day dreaming* This is the first time mini Frederic gets a wash, so just let our cute stuffed animal soak in his bubble bath for a while.

Soaking in soap of course is not enough to thoroughly wash your stuffed animal. Okay enough of your day dreaming Frederic. Next we rub our fox plush not-so-gently to remove the accumulated dust and dirt. Never use a brush! We'd only ever use a soft tooth brush while washing our Jolly Mah sheep plush.

Frederic Fox's tail is the part we're most concerned about as it is made of longer and softer plush than the rest of the shorter plush on his body. This is where we did a terrible job of maintaining our Jolly Mah's fluffy-ness when we washed our sheep soft toy, hence we are extra delicate here with our fox plush to ensure we don't repeat the same mistake.

After rubbing all parts of our stuffed animal soft toy thoroughly, we leave him in his bubble bath for about 10mins, not counting. Look how happy our nici fox plush is!

After that you need to come back and squeeze all the detergent out of your soft toy gently. Second step, we wash nici fox plush in a round of clean water and squeeze him dry again. You want to make sure all the detergent is out of your stuffed animal. Repeat the second step if you are washing a bigger plush soft toy.

If you want your stuffed animals to be extra soft and fragrant, be sure to do this final step before putting them in the washing machine dryer. A small amount of Softlan fabric softener to make your soft toy really fragrant and soft. Softlan Floral Fantasy is our favorite choice of fabric softener.

Note: You only need to add a little bit of Softlan just like this. It is mandatory to mix the fabric softener with clean water thoroughly before putting your soft toy or stuffed animals in it

We let nici fox plush soak in Softlan fabric softener for another 10 minutes or so. Frederic fainted from inhaling the extreme fragrance of Softlan. You can leave it for half an hour if you want or add more fabric softener, your soft toys will be even softer. We have tried that with our Jolly Mah sheep plush and realized that minimal amount of Softlan and soaking will do. After which, we bring our plush toy to tumble dry in the washing machine.

Frederic! Don't just jump into the washing machine like this. It is always recommended that you wrap your soft toy or stuffed animals in a thick towel to protect their plush. Either that or you can wrap your soft toys in a pillow case or laundry bag before putting them in the washing machine.

After a minute, we brought Frederic out of the washing machine and hung him up to dry. While hanging Frederic to dry, we keep rubbing and patting the plush on his tail to ensure it stays fluffy after the wash.

Our nici fox plush still looks very fluffy after the wash and his whole body is extra smooth due to adding Softlan fabric softener.

Frederic is a much easier stuffed animal to wash than the other nici soft toys like Jolly Mah which has really long and fluffly plush you must be extra careful of when washing them.

Frederic's tail is still fluffy and very smooth because of softlan! Some NICI soft toys with dark colored plush like Hugo Wolf, we just spray Fabreze on him! We also love to know how you wash your soft toys and stuffed animals. Please comment and share!
