NICI Pirates Plush

Earlier, we talked about our trip to Malaysia's NICI outlet at 1Utama and ended up shopping at Parkson. So here we are with our new NICI toys..

Ladies and gentlemen and plushies beware, NICI Pirates are in town! (Roar) pirate bear, pirate lion and pirate gorilla..wait! Pirate gorilla did not sound right. Who are you?

You are Milo Gorilla from NICI wild friends, you are not a NICI pirate plush. What did you do to pirate gecko?

Milo Gorilla cheekily smiled at us and replied: Pirate Gecko is too skinny and weak, pirate bear and lion recruited me as a replacement, I am strong and powerful, I am Pirate Gorilla!

Okay Milo, we get it..you realise your tag is still on do ya?

We got Milo Gorilla because he is the one and only gorilla plush sitting on the nici shelf. He looks too lonely not to bring home.Although his face is not exactly rounded, he has beautiful eyes and extremely soft fur, it felt softer than our bigger Milo.

Okay back to pirates, we searched through all to get the best looking NICI Pirate Lion. We almost did not bring one home, reason is, most of the pirate lion's hat are bent on the side or on top. This is the only pirate lion with the best looking hat at 25cm.

Notice the price of NICI Pirates are cheaper than the usual NICI plush. The 40cm NICI Pirate plush is almost the same price as other 35cm NICI plush. The 15cm NICI Pirates are cheaper than other 15cm NICI plush at RM29.90 and these prices are before discount.

The cheapest price for 25cm nici plush in Singapore is usually S$26.90 for example the wild friends series. They should but we doubt they will price the nici pirates lower than that.

So if you happen to be in the capital city of Malaysia, it is very advisable to buy nici pirates here than in Singapore. Parkson offer 10% off all NICI products for everyone and NICI outlet gives 15% for members.

NICI Pirate bear is pretty fierce looking but in truth, he is a cute, fun loving bear, you will see more pictures of him in our future entries coming very soon.

NICI Outlet at 1Utama

We have received a couple of emails asking us about the NICI outlet at 1Utama shopping centre. NICI-Mania sets out to KL Malaysia recently to find out.

We arrived at 1Utama shopping centre, almost the entire old wing is under renovation and we found the front door of the NICI outlet. Its still on the same floor but the shop location seemed different. We then made a call to Win Malaysia, the retailer for NICI toys to inquire.

So for those we are interested to know, the person in charge says the reopening is gonna be in August and she hinted that there might be a NICI sales upon the reopening.

If you went all the way to 1Utama and encounter the same situation as us, do not fret. Walk to the new wing and look for...Parkson!

As we mentioned before in our February post, you can find NICI toys in Parkson other than the NICI outlet. But not all Parkson departmental stores have NICI, please bear that in mind. Win Malaysia's recommendation is to go to Parkson at KLCC or Pavillion.

As we inch closer into the toys department of Parkson, we found the shelf of NICI toys!! Although its only half the shelf but we are still very excited.

NICI limited edition keychains, the White Collection which consist of hedgehog, fox, raccoon, gorilla. There are some NICI wild friends pencil case on the right. Its quite expensive, RM75.90 for one iirc.

NICI bus keyrings! There are a few NICI bus cushion too, both red and blue. NICI Little Wingels at the bottom (not pictured), we move on to explore the shelf and..

Surprise! We found NICI Wild Friends jewelry box and Jolly Rosa music box! They are gorgeous.

We looked up and found Hugo Wolf! Two 50cm and a 25cm Hugo Wolf with a very lonely 25cm NICI Rob Raccoon.

NICI Koala, NICI Hamster, NICI Fox and a TG Tiger that was bought by a guy in white cap.

And we found NICI Pirates aye aye, hurray! There are all 3 sizes for all 3 NICI Pirates plush. All 15cm, 25cm, 40cm pirate bear, lion and even gecko are available at least two for each size! (There are more pirates behind not pictured)

Also, the real NICI Horse Club (not our fake, hehe), NICI Dino and there are some 15cm and 25cm Jolly Liselle and Jolly Svenja at the most bottom.

There is still the 10% discount off the price tag for all the NICI products and an additional 5% rebate to your Parkson Elite card if you have one.

Our NICI adventure at 1Utama did not end there, we passed by S&J gift shop and was welcomed by a pleasant surprise..did you see it?

Its Milo Gorilla! We rushed into the shop to see and found out their tag did not spell NICI.

This is not a fake NICI, its an imitation. The fur of pirated Milo Gorilla is very soft and smooth, almost like the real NICI! The price is less than half of the original NICI Gorilla. Extremely tempting to buy! There were also two 50cm snow cats, also half the price.

NICI Plush Birthday Party

In our previous entry, Jolly Rosa designed a birthday cake at The Icing Room for Hugo Wolf's very first birthday. Now is the 8th June 2011 and as the clock strikes 12, it will be Hugo Wolf's birthday.

Our nici plush are very excited for the first NICI birthday party ever held at NICI-Mania. Jolly Rosa checking on the birthday cake she made, some other nici plush came over to join the preparation of Hugo Wolf's birthday party.

Rosa! They way you are looking at the birthday cake...why do we have a feeling that you are about to eat it all by yourself?

Mini Hugo Wolf came over to join the fun and mini Jolly Rosa puts on a Happy Birthday t-shirt (Please refer to our NICI T-Shirt entry..coming soon!).

9th June 2010 was the day Hugo Wolf was born, exactly one year from the day Hugo was brought home to the family, so we made this special birthday party to celebrate. It's almost 12 midnight now, let's hit the lights and get Hugo Wolf to come in for his surprise!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Hugo (the big fat cute dumb clumsy adorable huggable wolf), Happy Birthday to you...!!

 Hugo Wolf makes a birthday wish and blows out the candle. Congratulations, you are officially one year old!

Now is cake sharing time! Every nici plush gets a piece of the cake. Oh no Hugo, you just cut your neck!..on the cake  :-D

Inside the cake from The Icing Room, we are surprised to find there are small slices of peach, we thought it was just gonna be a plain vanilla cake.

Hugo Wolf's Birthday Surprise by Jolly Rosa

Following our previous introduction of the Icing Room, we will find out what Jolly Rosa have in mind for Hugo Wolf's birthday surprise!

Jolly Rosa start from drawing the outline of the shape. Can you guess what is Jolly Rosa drawing?

Hey Rosa, concentrate on your drawing! Jolly Rosa couldn't help but notice some delicious pastries in the oven.

Have you guessed it right? Jolly Rosa is designing a Hugo Wolf birthday cake with..Hugo Wolf!

The Icing Room only has limited selection of colors, or rather, they did not have black and grey even though we asked for it, so we had to use yellow and green instead.

Hugo Wolf's face is finally done after 15 minutes. The cream was very hard to control, unless you are really familiar with it.

Hugo's birthday cake must certainly have his name on it!

9th June is Hugo Wolf's birthday, he is exactly1 year old now.

Now we put some lining around the birthday cake.

Lastly, Jolly Rosa puts the sugar icing coating on top of Hugo Wolf's birthday cake.

The Icing Room DIY Cake

Say hello to Jolly Rosa at The Icing Room at Jurong Point. The Icing Room is a specialty cake shop that offers Design-It-Yourself DIY cake decorative services. But why are we here?

It is Hugo Wolf's birthday recently and Jolly Rosa decided to give him a huge surprise! So she decided to come to The Icing Room to flaunt her creative ideas.

The Icing Room is a DIY cake shop which lets you design your own cake. They will provide a cream cake and you get to decorate the cake anyway you want!

The Icing Room provides DIY workshop for kids above 4 years of age. Too bad Jolly Rosa is still underage!

Besides the DIY services, The Icing Room also provides creative ready made cakes just like any other cake shop.

Notice a please do not sit on the table sign at the Icing Room. Did you just sit on the table? Jolly Rosa: hehehehe  :-D

There are 3 different sizes of cakes here. By default, The Icing Room provides vanilla cake but you can also get the Blackforest cake except for the smallest sized cake.

Jolly Rosa got her cake! This is the 4 inch sized vanilla cake from the Icing Room.

The Icing Room only lets you choose 5 colors from their inventory but you also a packet of flower designed sugar icing topping.
