Jolly Liselle Beef Stew Recipe

Today Auntie Liselle is going to teach us how to cook a delicious savory beef stew

Beef is one of the most healthy meat for your body. It contains an abundant source of protein, zinc, iron and Vitamin B12. Zinc is critical for maintaining the body's immune system and healing process, Iron keeps us energetic and vitamin B12 gives you a good functioning brain and creates blood.

These are the materials today (for 3-4 servings), all of them are inch diced:
500grams of beef
2 onions
5 cloves of garlic
5 stalks of celery
5 australian carrots
5 potatoes
Salt
Black Pepper
Olive Oil
Chicken stock
Paprika (optional)
*Remember to dry your beef with kitchen towel, you want it dry so that it will saute nicely

Salt your beef. I'm using garlic salt bought from Tesco in Czech. You can just use normal coarse salt.

Add in freshly grind black pepper.

Let the pepper and salt set in.

My rosemary plant is dying, so we're not gonna use it :(
Herbs are optional. Paprika and rosemary are good but thyme goes best with beef so far.

Heat the pot, add 3 tablespoons olive oil and all the beef.

Saute the beef until it is brown and remove it from the pot.

Those brown'd thing is whats gonna make the stew taste good.

Now add all the diced onions and whole garlic

Make sure they turn brownish so that the sweetness of the onion will be released.

Put 3/4 of the celery and carrots, this is to stew the taste.

Stri fry them for a while and add in the beef.

Keep these to add into the stew when it is almost done.

Add chicken stock, or whichever stock you like. Make sure it covers the ingredients. Don't worry about adding too much stock, they will dry up pretty much after the stewing.

Bring it to boil and reduce to small heat, close the lid and wait for 2hours. Cya later~

After 2hours of stewing, add the potatoes and the remaining of the carrots and celery.

Add more water to cover the ingredients, simmer for another 15mins.

Viola! Liselle comes to check the outcome of the wonderful stew.

I'm going to eat! Yum Yum

Alternatively, you can add it on top of some rice and boil some broccoli to go with it. A balanced and nutritious meal!
