no menu Italian Restaurant

Welcome to no menu Italian Restaurant. One of the best Italian restaurant in Singapore.

no menu Italian Restaurant in fact.... has a menu! However all the dishes are written in Italian.

We brought Jolly Mah to no menu Italian restaurant today! What a lucky sheep!

If you are not familiar with what Italian dishes to order, look for the friendly waitress at no menu and they will provide their optimum services to recommend you their Osvaldo Forlino family's traditional Italian delicacies.

For starters, we got ourselves a whole Burrata cheese. Burrata is fresh Italian cheese, made from Mozzarella and cream, recommended by the friendly staff at no menu.

Then we got the Serrano smoked ham, strongly recommended by the no menu staff.

Some yummy bread to go with the Burrata cheese.

One mouthful of the Burrata cheese and the bread is a series of delightful explosions in the mouth. After the cheese, bread & smoked ham, we were already half full at no menu and those were just starters.

How can Italian food go without some wine!

We got ourselves a bottle of Chianti Antinori. Goes well with the pasta, white meat and red meat we ordered.

no menu - Pellegrino. This is an Italian brand of sparkling water

no menu - Clams in white wine sauce

The long waiting time at no menu restaurant is of no surprise for an Italian restaurant.

Finally our main dishes are here. First up is the T-Bone steak recommended by the no menu staff. It was a huge portion but they helped us cut it into many slices in 2 plates.

We forgot to mention to the waitress how we want the steak to be done. It came almost medium rare and we were very pleased with how it was perfectly cooked.

no menu - Spaghetti Gamberi (Italian Prawns Spaghetti)

no menu - Porcini Mushroom

no menu - Squid ink pasta

no menu - Saffron Risotto

While we waited for the bill, the waitress served us the Meringue with Ricotta cream. It is a perfect finale to our sumptuous Italian meal at no menu.

Total bill at no menu came at a pristine cost. However it was well worth the money to pamper your stomach with Italian food.

Miharu Ramen

Following our previous blog post about Gallery Hotel, we decided to grab lunch here at Miharu Ramen. This ramen stall is situated at Gallery Hotel. Miharu Ramen holds its reputation as one of the best ramen stall in Singapore.

Miharu Ramen is a Sapporo style Japanese ramen. Miharu is famous for its springy ramen noodles and deep soup base.

Hugo Wolf & Jolly Rosa sheep excited to try Miharu Ramen

The friendly staff at Miharu gave us the menu

Miharu's menu is segregated by miso flavour, shoyu flavour and shio flavour.

We ordered Tokusen Shoyu Ramen and Tokusen Shio Ramen. Both pork flavoured soup base, Sapporo style!

The Miharu Tokusen Shoyu Ramen has a thick rich soup base, both oily and salty but this is the style of Sapporo ramen. The shoyu (soy sauce) masks some of the original taste of the pork soup quite a bit.

We prefer the Miharu Tokusen Shio Ramen similarly has a rich pork flavoured soup base. You can taste the original soup flavour more on the shio ramen.

The springy Sapporo ramen noodles was more of the highlight for us. The noodles are much thicker as opposed to the Hakata style Ippudo Ramen at Mandarin Gallery.

The gyoza at Miharu was surprisingly nice as compared to many other disappointing gyoza at other ramen stalls.

Miharu Ramen, although serves authentic Sapporo ramen did not impress us as much as Santouka Ramen did (You can read our Santouka Ramen review here).

However, if you like Japanese ramen as we do, you must definitely check out Miharu Ramen at Gallery Hotel. Based on its reputation as one of the best ramen in Singapore, ramen lovers are obliged to try this stall at least once.

Gallery Hotel - The Avant Garde Hotel

Gallery Hotel always captivates our attention with its avant garde building design. There are hoardes of hotels in Singapore, what makes Gallery Hotel so unique. Hugo Wolf and Jolly Rosa finds out!

At first glance inside the room of Gallery Hotel, it follows the colorful theme of the hotel as with the exterior design.

The hotel room although not big, but spacious enough.

The LCD tv in the hotel room is a small 32 inch.

The bathroom's design is sleek and follows the avant garde Gallery Hotel style.

They managed to squeeze a bathtub in the pretty restricted space in the bathroom. Forgot to mention, this is the Gallery Hotel glazzhaus room. Hence the bathtub.

The glazzhaus room with bathtub is slightly expensive compared to the normal deluxe room rates that is below $200.

For the glazzhaus room offer, all the drinks in the mini bar are complimentary of Gallery Hotel.

Right out of our hotel room window, the Gallery hotel swimming pool awaits!

The Gallery hotel swimming pool is kind of 'detached' from the hotel rooms, you have to walk down and across to get to the pool.

There is something unique about the swimming pool at Gallery Hotel..

View of the Gallery hotel swimming pool from downstairs. Look at that protruding mass of water in the transparent glass.

Let's explore other parts of the swimming pool.

The swimming pool counter, though its always empty. Self service!

You get the nice view of the whole Gallery Hotel building from the pool..

or Miramar Hotel on the opposite..

Studio M Hotel beside Gallery Hotel.

Gallery Hotel is not crowded most of the time. Not a lot of hotel guest, like this evening, we were the only ones left at the swimming pool after a while.

Hugo & Rosa having a nice time enjoying the privacy.

After a day of fun at the pool, the tired sheep and wolf knocked themselves out on the bed.

We had a great stay at Gallery Hotel. Located at Robertson Quay, there are a great deal of restaurants, bar and happening places around.

The rooms are comfy, the location is good, there's a nice pool, great privacy and all of these comes in an affordable price package.
